The hotel is strategically located within walls of old city between the beach of Ammoudara and the main attractions, not so far from them. Hotel is re-innovated 7 floor building.... more Rooms are not large, but but enough for the convenient accommodation. The room has the safe, TV, several chairs, table and the wardrobe, electric kettle, air conditioner. There is quite large balcony with two beach chairs and the small table and also drying hanger for the clothes. Unfortunately there is quite a lot of dust in the air from street, so everything gets dusty very quickly. The room has electric sockets next to the beds and two other sockets, one of them with USB port. The personnel speaks English and very friendly and helpful. The avenue Kalokerinou named after the discoverer of the Knossos Palace is quite busy road so it is nicer to live on higher floors. There is a restaurant serving good continental breakfast. There is omelette, ham, cheese, Greek yogurt, flakes, fruits, on the menu. Just 70 meters from the hotel there is Bazaar and in 200 m is Chalkiadakis supermarket, Lidl in 800 m outside of the city walls. All closed on Sundays. The avenue Kalokerinou has several street food places, and if you walk 400 m to Morosini Lions Fountain you can find even more restaurants there. Heraklion has a problem with great beaches, but in 500 m from the hotel there is a Dermatos... Heraklion has a problem with great beaches, but in 500 m from the hotel there is a Dermatos Bay, where is a wild beach where one can deep into the sea.
The proper beach is in Ammoudara in 2.2 km from the hotel. There is another beach in 1 km in front of Talos Plaza shopping mall, but it is rocky and no sunbeds or lifeguard.
Another place to swim is the port mole starting from the Kules fortress in 1.2 km.
The mole protects from high waves when it is windy and other places are not suitable for swimming. More
The building is located a 5 minute walk from the city centre, all the rooms i had been to were very clean and all the appliances (TV, phone, hairdryer)... more were functional. The wifi had a good signal but was slow and unresponsive sometimes. The staff were very polite and welcoming.
This is a really nice hotel, very spacious room with a sofa and good working desk. WIFI was very fast. We could see the sea from... more the balcony. I even liked the art work on the walls. Sunny breakfast room. The welcome was warm and help and advice cheerfully offered.
The hotel entrance is just off a shopping street but within walking distance of the more historic areas, very quiet at night. Worth noting that the bus to the airport is just a few steps away. The Iraklion was a real bargain too, thoroughly recommended.
Our fourth Visit to this Hotel, it is in an Ideal position for everything in the City Centre. Rooms are Spotless, Staff all Friendly fantastic Buffet Breakfast with an excellent... more selection to eat. Parking at the Rear of the Hotel.
Very clean and beautiful rooms ! The staff was very friendly! And best location!!
I highly recommend it!! We had an amazing vacation there ! The breakfast was also... more delicious and with variety of options !
The staff was very friendly and the room was spacious with a nice view. The owner gave us many restaurants options and he helped us to plan our holidays.

The location was just perfect! The hotel is located in the center and there are lots of things nearby. If you visit Heraklion, don't think twice and just stay there!!
My family of 5 enjoyed the breakfast, it was the best we had in Greece. The wifi signal is SUPER strong. Beautiful rooms and clean. Like most... more hotels in Greece, the magnetic key fob turns on the power. The ONLY drawbacks of this hotel was our AC wasn't strong enough for the family room and the shower curtain needs to be further out. Parking is easy 8 Euro a day around the corner from the garage. It's hard finding parking in Crete. Beware the small roads.
This was a good hotel for a couple of days stay. Rooms clean and well presented and with balconies. The reception staff were welcoming & friendly. The buffet breakfast... more was ok, given that we are vegetarian.
We found this hotel after our booked apartment fell through so we were stranded. They had rooms available and breakfast was included at a good price. We were... more only here the one night but the man on reception was very welcoming.
We booked this online and it is in the perfect location to visit all the sites. For the price the room is all you need to enjoy your time in... more this great little town. Everything is a short walk away from great food and markets
A basic hotel in many ways, but all you really need, including wifi. Very friendly and helpful staff. Within comfortable walking distance to the downtown social area. Only downside,... more possibly, that it was a bit noisy, even though we weren't terribly disturbed.
We stayed here two nights. The room was nice and comfortable. It was located close enough to walk to the fortress and several nice restaurants. The breakfast was good for... more the price. The staff was helpful.the only problem was they forgot to make up our room. When we told them the look on their face said the housekeeping had gone home. They apologized and we said just give us fresh towels which they did.
This was a fairly comfortable hotel in a central location. The room desperately needed to be updated, but it was comfortable. The room has a mini-fridge which is... more great for keeping snacks and cold water, and there was a nice little balcony on which to have a drink or read. Unfortunately, my room faced a busy city street, but that was unavoidable! The hotel staff are great and are very helpful in giving guests tips for getting around the city and seeing the attractions.
We had one night here after arriving by plane in the evening, before getting a ferry first thing in the morning.
The reception was open 24 hours. The room... more was basic but clean. The bathroom was clean and wet-room style; the shower was to be held by hand which was difficult.
Breakfast was a selection of toast, cereals etc and lovely Greek yoghurt.
Location- about 10 min walk to the old port where we found a good taverna serving fresh fish for dinner.
Decent place for the price.
The hotel is one of the cheapest I’ve stayed in. But the hotel had free and fast WiFi with helpful staff. The breakfast was little but lovely. The hotel... more was also very close to practically everything important. Over all it was a great experience.
We found this small hotel to be right for us. It is about 4 blocks to the City center (Lion's Fountain) on the edge of the pedestrian zone of... more the city. Everything was walking distance except the airport. Each time you asked the desk people the directions to an attraction or service, they pulled out another city map and gave you options, directions, prices, and identifying landmarks. The desk personnel all spoke English well. The elevator was very small, as is common in this type of hotel. They had a bar, dining area with free, nice breakfast. Room was air conditioned, there was a balcony with a table, chair, and drying rack. and in-room coffee and refrigerator. It isn't elegant, but clean, well-located, and just what we needed.
The location is perfect, it's near the centre, but in a quite place. We stayed for 4 nights and the hotel staff were super kind. The room was perfect... more for the price. Really clean! I would recommend this place without doubt.
Iraklion hotel is one of the most centrally located Heraklion hotels.
We are just 5 minutes away on foot, from where the Heart of Heraklion beats. Kalokairinou Street connects the west part of the city with the center.
All around the Iraklion hotel there are numerous shops, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, and some of Heraklion’s most important Landmarks.
